About American Iron & Gold

Old-World Skill, Modern Perfection

American Iron & Gold was founded on a simple belief: things worth owning should be made well, and craftsmanship still matters.

With more than 15 years of professional experience at the jeweler’s bench, founder Jesse Troutman brings a hands-on background in custom jewelry design, repair, restoration, stone setting, casting, hand fabrication, laser welding, and wax carving to every project.

Each piece is approached individually, with attention given to the materials, construction, function, and story behind it. Whether restoring something that has been in a family for generations or creating something entirely new, the goal is the same: to create work worthy of being used, worn, and passed down.

THE CRAFT BEHIND THE NAME

Built on Craftsmanship. Defined by Detail.

American Iron & Gold was built on more than 15 years of hands-on experience at the jeweler’s bench. From custom design and stone setting to restoration, fabrication, and laser welding, that experience shaped a simple philosophy: understand the material, respect the process, and never compromise the details.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE NAME

Where Iron Meets Gold.

American Iron & Gold brings together two crafts that have shaped my work: fine jewelry and firearms. After more than 15 years as a professional goldsmith, I built the company around the same principles I’ve relied on at the jeweler’s bench—precision, patience, skilled hands, and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Gold and steel may be very different materials, but working with either demands respect for the craft. American Iron & Gold was created to bring those disciplines together under one name, with a standard of workmanship meant to last for generations.
